The Gallery of Costume at Platt Hall, Manchester
While I was visiting the ‘First Cut Exhibition’ at the
Manchester Art Gallery, I found out that the exhibition continued at the ‘Gallery
of costume’ also in Manchester. At the Gallery of Costume three artists had
created installations of dresses and shoes which were made completely out of
paper. The artists were Susan Cutts, Violise Lunn and Susan Stockwell who had fashioned
‘unwearable’ dresses and shoes from handmade and recycled paper, maps and money.
